- Discover ideas and inspiration for your garden
- Increase your gardening knowledge
- Enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded gardening friends
The Sacramento Perennial Plant Club (SPPC) has your gardening interests and needs in mind. We bring together gardeners and gardening professionals for educational opportunities that will grow you, as you grow your garden.
Join us at our monthly meetings where you will enjoy a wide range of interesting speakers, an informative plant show-n-tell, light refreshments, and occasionally take home a new plant.
Sacramento Perennial Plant Club Members,
The Board met via Zoom (thanks to pre-meeting logistics help and coaching from Jim and Jane Thompson). Highlights are below.
First, we all miss meeting, catching up with members and talking gardens and plants at Club events! But it’s critical that people stay safe and well. So events are cancelled through the end of May. The virus will determine when we can get together in person.
Second, Linda Hax added a new website feature—a slide show of member gardens! If you would like to share up to 3 pictures of your garden, send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Linda will update the show occasionally with new photos.
Third, Plant Sales, our primary source of income, will see some changes. Many thanks to Deborah Renfrew and plant propagators for their work growing plants and organizing the sale as well as to all the club members who staff the sales. Bev Shilling and Charlene Durant have stepped up to be our plant sale organizers and will work with a committee. Stay tuned for more information.
Fourth, the next Perennial Post will be delayed till early June. We hope you are enjoying gardening at home. Stay safe and well till we can meet again.
